Lots of 404 errors(?!)

Hi,

One of my goals for this month was to lower the number of 404 'not found' errors appearing in my Awstats reports by changing some URL's with spaces to URL's without spaces.

Anyway, I'm not going to meet my goal right from the first day of this month because for some reason some lunatic is requesting a bunch of non-existent pages (not even close like a typo or something) which makes my 404 report page's requested URL column look like:

/PokerVirgin.html

Today I saw the lunatic came by a second time. I'm guessing that the lunatic has to be some sort of a bot and, although I'm a complete newb, I feel like: no good.

So.., what is all this? Should I do something to, I don't know, prevent something?

I don't see why you'd need to do anything about it.

If he keeps using too many resources on your server, you could ban his IP on htaccess, but otherwise, it's only you who can read the Awstats reports and otherwise doesn't affect your website, so you can just ignore it.
