Default Strange phenomenon with WP - help please

A few days I requested my sites get moved to a new server which was using PHP 5.0.

The hosting company switched the sites and I updated the name servers on my domain.

I don't know if this has anything to do with the problems I've been having, but I wanted to mention it seeing as it's the only major change that has happened before I started seeing problems with my site.

The problem is that I appear to now have two different sites.

I tend to work on my sites at home in the evening and occasionally at work during my lunch break. So yesterday afternoon I was writing a new a post which I uploaded and published to the site.

I tried to submit the article to Digg and got a "URL not valid" error message which I found a bit strange but didn't think a whole lot about it and thought I'd try submitting it again when I got home.

When I got in that evening, I logged into the site again and found that the post was nowhere to be found. It wasn't published on the website and didn't appear in the WP backend at all.

Rather than write it out again, I made a few additional changes to the site relating to a few images around the site.

Now I've just got back into work again and the graphical changes I made at home aren't showing up ... but the post I wrote at work yesterday is there in all its glory.

So, it's like I've now got two versions of my site: the site I can acccess at home ... and the site I can access at work.

Anyone got ANY idea how this has happened ... and how I can go about fixing it?

Thanks a lot for your help,

Your internet provider takes a cache of what hosting server to access for certain websites. It will refresh soon and update to your new host.

LOL Shortstack - Do you work in the twilight zone?

Seriously though, the other answer is pretty much correct! All will be fine in a few hours i should imagine! Perhaps better not to update too much in the mean time just to be on the safeside.

Use your hosts file to make sure you're working on the correct server. You can check which IP you're hitting by using a plugin like flagfox. That way you aren't updating two sites because of DNS differentials lolz.
