    Question Firefox bug?

My doyles rakeback site has broken menu links for firefox (working for IE)

I am not sure why, any thoughts?

Doyle's Rakeback | 33% Doyles Room Poker Rakeback

You will notice the menu links work fine for IE but not for firefox (the main menu links anyway). Hover/Mouseover works for IE but not firefox also...

    Thanks!

Having a look with firebug it seems like the transparent backgrounded png image that is the banner heading overlays the menu underneath it. I guess Firefox puts that image over the links, but IE does it the other way round.

Probably best to cut off the bottom part of the banner png so that it stops just above the green menu bar (i.e. right below the Doyle's Rakeback text) or perhaps make that space a bit bigger to move the menu bar down the page a bit. Whatever you think works best.

I will try to attach a screenshot!

Edit: The links don't work for me in IE 8 or Chrome either, they both do the same as FF

Wow, super helpful response. Thanks a million Ray!

Gonna try to fix it right now. (Can't I just switch to a jpeg also?)

EDIT: switching it to a jpeg didn't change anything, but setting the height of the image to 80 did the trick. Thanks again Ray.

Well a jpg won't do the transparent background, so that would make it easier to see what it was laying over and covering. However you would have to precisely match the background colour to the webpage it is on, or you will see the edges of the banner.

Thinking about it it might be that you tested it with an older version of IE that doesn't support png format images, so it was kind of a bug in an older version of IE that allowed you to get the links to work.

Did you get this working? I took a look and it seems OK to me.
