News Plugin For Wordpress

Does anyone know of any good plugins for displaying news.

Ideally I'd like to have an area at the bottom of the homepage that shows the X latest news articles.

Then in the news section linked to on the main menu, the page would be well layed out with easy to access older posts and news archives.

Any ideas?

Yeah I know that. I'm more concerned with organising news on an inner page than I am with displaying it on the homepage (homepage is like 5% important as I have it showing using the query posts), but I thought there may be a better way of showing exercpts on the homepage via a plugin.

For example MJs site has a basic idea of what I'm looking to implement:

So? do that then, you still dont need a plugin for that.

I use related news plugins, and top news stories.

The dealer theme has that built into it. You can use tags to call different categories/amounts of posts, thumbnails and all that stuff.
