    Default Videos On Your Site

I've been looking in to uploading videos to websites and I'm feeling like a total noob. I've been googling a lot and experimenting with lots of things but I'm not getting the results I'm looking for. If anyone uploads videos to their sites (like training vids etc.), do you have any tips?

I'm thinking about going down the FLV video route and using Flowplayer to play them.

Here are a few of the main questions I've been trying to answer...

What do you use to convert your video files to FLV files?
What do you save your raw video files as before converting?
What's a good file size for a good quality 60 min FLV video?
Do you actually use the FLV format or something different?

Any advice on this subject will definitely be appreciated.

First off, flowplayer is a great choice and the best that I have found. so I would stick with that.

If you are recording poker sessions and wanting to put them on your site, I made a video quite a while back that explains the best way to convert/compress them and gives you the programs you should use and how to use them. A 60 video with good quality should be about 120MB. Here is the link to the second video,

Make a Video pt. 2 | Jib Poker

If you have any question post them here and I will try and help.

Simply upload to Youtube and embed the videos on your site. The problem is publishing videos which are longer then 10 minutes though so its not a great solution.

Is there a restriction on video length?

I've got it pretty much sussed now.

I'm using JWplayer to play the videos on the site.
Converting AVIs/MOVs to MP4 to be able to play in JWplayer via Handbrake (Mac).

I'd definitely make use of VideoJug and MediaCoder though if I was on a PC.
